Retired Lieutenant Commander Alex Romo is a distinguished naval officer, aviation professional, and dedicated servant-leader who has spent his life serving both his country and his community. During his honorable career in the United States Navy, he served as a Special Operations helicopter pilot, flying high-risk missions that required precision, courage, and unwavering commitment. His years of service reflect his deep sense of duty, leadership, and excellence under pressure.

Following his retirement from the Navy, Alex continued his passion for aviation by teaching others to fly at Bell Training Academy. In this role, he mentors and trains the next generation of pilots, sharing his extensive experience and instilling both technical skill and professional discipline in his students. His love for teaching reflects his desire to invest in others and help them succeed.

Beyond aviation, Alex is deeply committed to his family, church, and local community. He faithfully serves on his church’s security team, helping ensure a safe and welcoming environment for worship. He also volunteers as team manager for his son Xander’s soccer team, where he enjoys supporting and encouraging young athletes. 

Alex has been happily married to his wife, Rebekah, for over 26 years. Together they have two children, Xander and Lena, and a son-in-law, Sullivan. He also enjoys spending time with their two dogs, Ralph and Belle. In his free time, Alex enjoys running, hunting, and working on the land, embracing the outdoors and the simple blessings of life.
